Our history
The Henley Alumni Association - Malta (HAAM) was founded in 1993, forming another link in the Henley Alumni international network. HAAM changed its name to "Henley Alumni Malta Chapter - HAMC" in 2024. The objectives of the Chapter are:
1.Establishing a fellowship of members who exchange views and ideas;
2.Providing a forum for closer co-operation and interchange between members of other Henley Alumni Chapters world-wide and Henley Business School;
3.Creating a focal point for MBA course members to keep contact with one another;
4.Promoting the practice of professional management in Malta.
The first group of 40 Maltese executives started their Henley MBA studies by distance learning in 1992. Since then, another many Maltese executives have embarked on the MBA making a membership base of over 600 members. Over 350 of these have obtained their Masters Degree by distance learning. In a population of 400,000, the Henley MBA has established itself as the most popular MBA in Malta.
Activities
The activities of HAMC comprise of:
regular social activities,
regular Newsletter and website postings,
organisation of Top-Up Talks to update members and local managers on the new and emerging management practices, and
support to Henley MBA/Diploma course participants in Malta.
These activities are organized by a number of sub-committees within the HAMC Committee.
Management Committee
The Management of HAMC is entrusted to a Committee of dedicated volunteers, that represent the interests of Henley Alumni in Malta. These are elected during the Annual General Meeting from all members eligible to vote.
